Lakeland Mountain days

Being based in the Lake District allows Wild Path to offer a full range of mountain activities year round. Many of our mountain training courses are based in the Lake District.  The below courses are only a selection of suggested mountains that we use in the Lakes. However, the list could be hugely expanded, so if you don't see what you are looking for, then please get in touch with us to discuss your ideas.

Helvellyn is one of the Northern Lakes classic mountains and it is home to the famed Striding Edge. Although a non technical scramble, Striding Edge is one of the best in the Lakes. Climbing high above Red Tarn to the summit and then descending via Swirral Edge, makes for one of the finest days in the fells.

From £150 for one person then £20 per head up to 5 participants

Scafell Pike is the highest summit in England, at an elevation of 978 metres above sea level, providing a true mountain experience. As one of the three highest peaks in the UK, it has a variety of routes which suit both walkers and scramblers alike.

From £150 for one person then £20 per head up to 5 participants

Blencathra, also known as the Saddleback, sits in the Northern end of the Lake District. It is an easy journey from the Keswick and Ullswater area. Blencathra has six separate fell tops and offers some sharp ridges, as well as easy walks, all affording great views across the Lake District National Park.

From £150 for one person then £20 per head up to 5 participants

Rock Climbing

When the winter months roll in, the fells lend themselves to spectacular winter experiences. Coated in snow and ice, trips on all of the classic summits are offered by Wild Path.  We provide ice axes and crampons and you will be instructed on their use to ensure that your day is both safe and enjoyable.

From £210 per day

The Langdales offer a wealth of walking and scrambling days, as well as rock climbing. They are home to classic scrambles such as Jake's Rake on Pavey Ark and Middlefell Buttress, both amid wonderful scenery. With enjoyable hillwalking too, the Langdales offer a host of memorable days.

From £150 for one person then £20 per head up to 5 participants

Rock Climbing

Lakeland rock offers everything from a first taste of rock through to classic mountain climbs and scrambles. The Lakes are deservedly the home of rock climbing, where the first recorded rock climb took place on England's highest mountain, Scafell. The area provides a huge variety of climbs, to suit all levels and abilities.

From £210 per day
